Synq, for the people who sign in
When you sign in to an app that uses Synq, the business behind that app decides what happens to your data: it is the controller, and Aerosol handles the data for it as its processor. Synq keeps, for that business’s brand only:
- your email address, name, username and profile details, and any details the business adds;
- a hash of your password, if you use one (never the password itself);
- the accounts and wallet addresses you sign in with;
- your sessions and sign-in history: when, how, and to which app;
- a record of changes to your account in the business’s audit log, with the IP address and browser each change came from.
Synq uses this only to sign you in, keep your account secure and give the business the features it uses, such as webhooks and its audit log. We never sell it and never use it for advertising. Your account at one brand is separate from any account you have at another.
Synq, for our customers
For the people at the businesses that use Synq, we keep your name, email address, the orgs you belong to and your role in each, and what you change, in your org’s audit log. From launch, Stripe handles billing details; we never see full card numbers.
Where data is kept
Synq’s servers and database run on DigitalOcean in New York, in the United States. The subprocessors page lists every service that handles data for Synq, what for, and where.
How long it is kept
- An account is deleted 30 days after its deletion is asked for, by you or the business.
- Audit records are kept for as long as the business’s plan says: 7, 30 or 365 days, or longer by agreement.
- Webhook delivery records are deleted after 30 days, and expired tokens and codes soon after they expire.
- When a business deletes its org, everything in it is deleted 30 days later.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data. If you signed in to another company’s app, ask that company first: it controls your data and can do all of this through Synq. For anything else, or if you can’t reach it, email support@synq.build.
Security
